Connecting through a dongle without installing it’s client in windows 8

I do not have a permanent dongle for my personal use so I always borrow one from my friends when I need to get connected. Earlier I had most of the dongle connection client software installed in my PC. Sometimes I have 2-3 Huawei clients as well as another couple of Prolink or other clients installed in my PC. With Windows 8 I have this cool feature that when I plug in an any dongle, it will automatically install the necessary drivers to the PC and then will provide the connectivity option inside the Networks Flyout which pop-out when we click on the connectivity icon on the task bar.
